Welcome to Bethel

We're honored you're here to learn about our Bible-believing, Christ-centered fellowship.

What to Expect When You Visit

At Bethel Fundamental Baptist Tabernacle, we are committed to preaching the whole counsel of God and worshiping in spirit and truth. Visiting a fundamental Baptist church may be new to you, and we aim to make your experience reverent and welcoming. Here's what you can anticipate:

  • Worship Services: Our services feature traditional hymns, fervent prayer, and expository preaching from the King James Bible. Expect a service lasting about 90 minutes, focused on glorifying God and edifying believers.
  • Times: Sunday School at 9:30 AM, Sunday Morning Worship at 11:00 AM, Sunday Evening Service at 6:00 PM, and Wednesday Prayer Meeting at 6:30 PM.
  • Location:#4 Kelly Kenny Street, Woodbrook, Port-of-Spain, Trinidad. Ample parking is available, with ushers to assist first-time visitors.
  • Attire: We encourage modest, respectful dress to honor the Lord. Men typically wear suits or dress shirts, and women wear dresses or skirts, but we welcome you as you are.
  • Greeting: Our ushers will meet you at the door, provide a bulletin, and help you find a seat. After the service, our pastor and members look forward to personally greeting you.

Our Beliefs and Mission

Bethel Fundamental Baptist Tabernacle is an independent, fundamental Baptist church standing firm on the infallible Word of God. Our mission is to preach the gospel, make disciples, and contend for the faith (Mark 16:15, Matthew 28:19-20, Jude 3). Our core beliefs include:

  • Scriptural Authority: The King James Bible is the inspired, preserved Word of God, our final authority in all matters of faith and practice.
  • Salvation by Grace: Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, apart from works (Ephesians 2:8-9).
  • Separated Living: Christians are called to live holy, separated lives, distinct from the world (2 Corinthians 6:17).
  • Local Church: The local church is God's ordained institution for worship, fellowship, and soul-winning.

We strive to be a beacon of truth, leading souls to Christ and equipping believers to grow in godliness.

Getting Connected

We believe the local church is a family, and we invite you to join ours. Here are ways to get involved:

  • Soul-Winning Visitation: Join us several times for the month to share the gospel door-to-door in our community.
  • Bible Study Groups: Sunday School classes for all ages meet at 9:30 AM, offering verse-by-verse study of Scripture.
  • Membership: Our pastor offers a monthly class for those interested in church membership, covering our beliefs, practices, and expectations.

Whether you're new to the faith or a seasoned believer, we'll help you grow in your walk with Christ.

Ministries for All Ages

We are dedicated to nurturing every member of your family in biblical truth. Our ministries include:

  • Children's Ministry (Ages 4-12): Sunday School and Junior Church during morning services teach children the Bible through lessons, hymns, and memory verses.
  • Adult Bible Classes: Sunday School classes for men, women, and couples dive deep into Scripture, addressing practical Christian living.
  • Ladies' Fellowship: Monthly meetings for women feature devotionals, prayer, and service projects to strengthen faith and fellowship.

All ministries prioritize biblical teaching and safety, with trained, background-checked volunteers.
